    This doesn't work with VS 2012, I guess. I got the following error:

    {"The process cannot access the file 'C:\\Projects\\Telerik\\WebResource Assembly Builder\\WebResourceAutoBuilder\\bin\\Debug\\ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll' because it is being used by another process."}

    Great idea, will really help us to better handle the transition to the new skins more smoothly.  The only issue I have found with the skins uploaded is that the static .css files have .net response.write notation for reference to web resources.  See below extract from the forest dock css, the same applies to the other skins

    .RadDock_Forest .rdMiddle .rdLeft,
    .RadDock_Forest .rdMiddle .rdRight {
      background-image: url('<%=WebResource("Telerik.Web.UI.Skins.Forest.Dock.VerticalSprite.gif")%>'); }
    .RadDock_Forest .rdTop .rdLeft,
    .RadDock_Forest .rdTop .rdRight,
    .RadDock_Forest .rdTop .rdCenter,
    .RadDock_Forest .rdBottom .rdLeft,
    .RadDock_Forest .rdBottom .rdRight,
    .RadDock_Forest .rdBottom .rdCenter {
      background-image: url('<%=WebResource("Telerik.Web.UI.Skins.Forest.Dock.HorizontalSprite.png")%>'); }
    .RadDock_Forest .rdCenter .rdCommands a span {
      background-image: url('<%=WebResource("Telerik.Web.UI.Skins.Forest.Dock.CommandSprite.gif")%>'); }
    .RadDock_Forest .rdMiddle .rdCenter,
    .RadDock_Forest .rdBottom .rdCenter {
      background-color: #c2d197;
      /* disabled var is used as it matches dock bg color */ }
    .RadDock_Forest .rdContent,
    .RadDock_Forest .rdTitleBar em {
      color: #2b2c20; }

    Hi Matt,

    The provided skin is designed and implemented to be used as a built-in resource. The reason for providing it is that it is currently obsolete and we provide the ability to be used in scenarios when users like to further style the Telerik controls with this Skin.

    Note that due to the fact that it is obsolete, every further usage is not supported and any requests related to the resources like Images, sprites etc. should be appropriately modified and handled according to the built application. There is no appropriate or more-correct value with which this annotation could be replaced.

    Regards,

    Can you provide the steps necessary to use the attached zip to apply the Forest skin globally within my ASP.NET website project? I just upgraded from ASP.NET AJAX Q2 2013. With that old version, I just specified "Forest" as the Telerik.Skin in my web.config since it was embedded in the skins DLL.

    Thanks, Craig

    Hello Craig,

    The following pages will help you to build a custom Skin assembly using the attached Skin files
    http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/introduction-skins-external-assembly.html
    http://www.telerik.com/community/code-library/aspnet-ajax/general/how-to-load-skins-from-external-assemblies.aspx

    I hope this helps.

    This (and the other removed skins) work pretty well when compiled into an embedded skin DLL. However the toolbar looks funky. Has its structure changed since these were released?
    Screenshots are in a zip - forum doesn't allow images as attachments.

    Hello Josh,

    We have tested the embedded skins with the latest version of RadToolbar and the result is quite different at the provided image. The version of the applied Forest skin is the same as on our skin sharing portal.  We are sending you this video which describes the appearance at our side. To fix the hover effect of items, we have added the following CSS:
    .RadToolBarDropDown_Forest .rtbItemHovered .rtbWrap,
    .RadToolBarDropDown_Forest .rtbItemFocused .rtbWrap {
        background-position: 100% -23px;
        background-repeat: no-repeat;
    }

    html .RadToolBarDropDown .rtbItem {
        padding-left: 2px;
    }

    html .RadToolBarDropDown .rtbGroup {
        background-position: -4px 0;
    }

    If this workaround does not fix your scenario, we would like to ask you to provide a sample project with the version of embedded skins that you are applying. Also could you please clarify what is the tested ASP.NET AJAX controls version?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi Magdalena,

    Your fix worked nicely for the dropdown buttons. I had to use the !important modifier for it to take.

    Also I was referring to the toolbar itself with the weird looking border. After some tinkering this seems to fix it:

    .RadToolBar .rtbOuter
    {
        padding: 0px !important;
    }

    .RadToolBar .rtbInner
    {
        padding: 1px !important;
    }

    I am using Q1 2015.

    I'm having a problem using the Skin's Assembly Builder.

    After uploading the Skin zip file and the Telerik.web.UI dll, and filling the remaining fields, when i hit the "Get Assembly" button, it shows me an error page.

     Can you please tell me if am i doing anything wrong or if there is indeed a problem with this tool and when will it be repaired.

    Thank You,

    Hugo
