<![endif]-->We are proud to announce that for a second year in a row, Telerik has been recognized in the Best Employer in Bulgaria study, conducted annually by Hewitt Associates, the world's leading provider of human resources outsourcing and consulting services. Telerik ranked #4 in the Small and Medium Sized Companies Category, and is the only Bulgarian company from the IT sector recognized in the study.

Over 360 senior managers and 13,000 employees from 84 companies participated in this year's study. The final results were based on feedback from the company's employees, the firm's people management policies, and the views of the top management. The key statistics influencing the final rank of each company was the engagement of its employees.

Q3 2008 Release Announced

Telerik Registers Exponential Growth of Its Portfolio

Newton, MA, November 7, 2008 - Telerik, a leading vendor of developer tools and user interface components for .NET, is excited to announce the Q3 2008 release of its RadControls UI components and Report designer. With the new volume, Telerik registers significant growth in its developer tools portfolio by adding an enterprise-grade ORM product and a rich suite of components for Silverlight, thus making it the widest product line on the market.

RadControls for Silverlight

Following its exceptional track record in UI component development, Telerik is proud to officially present RadControls for Silverlight - the richest set of components for next-generation RIA and line-of-business applications. Running against Microsoft Silverlight 2 RTW, the suite will help you deliver super interactive, robust and responsive Web applications. The great performance of the components is guaranteed by the smart use of UI and data virtualization, and by the built-in Load on Demand mechanism, which results in significant performance gains when working with heavy data. Furthermore the suite introduces unique Page Navigation and Drag & Drop Frameworks, which additionally extend the capabilities of the Silverlight platform. RadControls for Silverlight are fully stylable through Microsoft Expression Blend. Thanks to its full interoperability with ASP.NET AJAX, RadControls for Silverlight can also be used to enhance existing web applications. Moreover, RadControls for Silverlight also share the same codebase and API with RadControls for WPF, guaranteeing synchronized future development.

For more information, please visit: http://www.telerik.com/products/silverlight/whats-new.aspx

OpenAccess ORM

Another manifestation of Telerik's urge to offer complete developer solutions is the newly-acquired ORM product OpenAccess - an enterprise-grade tool, used by large companies in very demanding scenarios. Supporting both forward and reverse mapping, it offers transparent persistence for your DAL and business objects. OpenAccess ORM provides tight Visual Studio integration and allows you to easily create database independent code. At the same time, advanced techniques like multi-level caching and fetch plans deliver substantial performance optimizations. Now that the product is part of Telerik's portfolio it will undergo further improvements with respect to usability and overall developer experience.

For more information, please visit: http://www.telerik.com/products/orm.aspx

RadControls for WPF

Q3 2008 release of RadControls for WPF concentrates on rich data visualization and interactivity by introducing powerful and completely stylable charting, gauge and scheduling controls. Through powerful rendering, rich data binding support and attractive animations the new additions to the suite take data visualization to another level. New valuable resources that demonstrate how you can create visually rich, data driven UI with RadControls for WPF are also available.

For more information, please visit: http://www.telerik.com/products/wpf.aspx

RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX

The ASP.NET AJAX suite further establishes its position as the preferred and most mature toolset for building rich and responsive web applications. One of the focal points is that RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX are now able to work in the new Microsoft ASP.NET MVC framework. Plenty of blog posts and examples are available to educate customers on how to use Telerik ASP.NET AJAX controls as pure client-side components in this environment. Much attention was devoted to improving the usability experience and the client-side behavior of our most prominent components - RadGrid and RadScheduler. Due to the integration with the newly-acquired OpenAccess ORM, important data access capabilities were delivered to all databound controls. Styling the Telerik web controls will be a much easier task thanks to the new Skin Manager.

For more information, please visit: http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-ajax/whats-new.aspx

RadControls for WinForms

The axis of the new release is the new RadScheduler control, which offers rich Outlook®-style functionality with swift performance, simplified deployment and limitless customization capabilities. Another essential addition to the Telerik WinForms suite is the ability to apply advanced Rich Text formatting to all products. RadGridView now has Multi-Row Header Views, which deliver pivot-like data presentation. The theming mechanism has also been enhanced to offer Themes Color Blending, which similarly to the Silverlight themes can easily create color variations of existing themes.

For more information, please visit: http://www.telerik.com/products/winforms/whats-new.aspx

Telerik Reporting

With Q3 2008 Telerik Reporting also delivers enhanced performance and user experience by introducing a completely new report rendering engine, which allows for speedy report generation, better allocation of server resources, and optimized report layout management. The new engine has been developed to meet the exhaustive needs of business customers for first-rate performance and data presentation. Customers are now able to upgrade their Reporting projects with no effort due to the official release of the Project Upgrade Wizard, supports all previous and future versions of Telerik Reporting.

For more information, please visit: http://www.telerik.com/products/reporting/whats-new.aspx

Pricing and Availability

The price of the Premium Collection for .NET Bundle (including all suites + Reporting + OpenAccess ORM) is $1299 per developer seat. The license comes with a Priority Support (guaranteed 24h response time), full C# source code, redistribution rights and free updates for the latest products for one year. All the tools work without license keys and can be freely deployed on an unlimited number of development, testing, and production servers. A step-by-step self-paced tutorial and hundreds of code samples are provided to accelerate your learning.

RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX is available with a Developer License for $799 and with a Developer License with Subscription and Priority Support for $999.

RadControls for WinForms is available with a Developer License for $799 and with a Developer License with Subscription and Priority Support for $999.

RadControls for Silverlight is available with a Developer License for $799 and with a Developer License with Subscription and Source Code for $999.

RadControls for WPF Silverlight is available with a Developer License for $799 and with a Developer License with Subscription and Priority Support for $999.

Telerik Reporting is available with a Developer License for $399 and with a Developer License with Subscription and Priority Support for $599.

Telerik OpenAccess ORM is available with a Developer License for $399 and with a Developer License with Subscription and Priority Support for $599.

The WPF team rolled out 3 major controls - Chart, Gauge and Scheduler. The Silverlight team didn't stay behind, adding unique drag'n'drop, theming and page navigation frameworks, which are missing in the platform. Also new are CoverFlow, Gauge, Expander and Context menus, with data grid and docking coming soon!

RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX and MVC

RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX and MVC

With MVC gaining momentum people felt the need for the rich UI controls of the ASP.NET world. We decided to be the first to add component support for MVC, which many thought was impossible (demo). Read the recent blog post of one of Telerik's Product Managers about the current MVC support and our plans for the future. Are we on the right track? What else do you need?

Telerik Acquires Vanatec and Adds ORM to its Product Portfolio

Sofia, Bulgaria - October 10, 2008 - Telerik, a leading vendor of developer tools and UI components for .NET, today announced that it has acquired Vanatec, a German company specialized in Object Relational Mapping (ORM) software. The latest acquisition will allow Telerik to offer an Enterprise-grade ORM product to its customer base and marks another step in the company's strategy to reduce development complexity in .NET applications.

"In today's .NET enterprise applications approximately 30% to 50% of the code is dedicated to data access. At the same time, the majority of the application bugs usually come from that same data layer", says Hristo Kosev, CTO of Telerik. "OpenAccess ORM is designed to bring the number of coding hours and possibilities for bugs to a minimum, leaving developers focused on the core business logic rather than on the infrastructure. I believe that customers will be very happy with the extensive capabilities of OpenAccess ORM and will see immediate productivity gains. "

The German team will continue to work primarily on the ORM software. The Munich office will grow to become Telerik's hub for servicing customers from Western Europe, which follows the company's efforts for building regional sales and technical support operations.

"Vanatec is very excited to become a part of the successful Telerik team.", says Peter Brunner, Managing Director of Telerik GmbH, formerly General Manager and Co-Founder of Vanatec. "We feel there is a great synergy with Telerik as both companies have market-leading products and a burning desire to continuously deliver more and more value to their customers."

Vanatec OpenAccess will be rebranded to Telerik OpenAccess ORM and will be made available to Telerik customers immediately with the upcoming Q3 release, scheduled for the week of November 3, 2008. During the following months till the Q1 2009 release a lot of substantial improvements will be implemented: new wizards and intuitive design-time, effortless integration with all Telerik products, as well as a number of powerful new features.

About OpenAccess ORM
Telerik OpenAccess ORM is a tool for building highly optimized persistent data layers. The product supports both forward and reverse mapping, which makes it suitable for any application scenario. Built with usability in mind, OpenAccess ORM offers deep Visual Studio integration and powerful wizards that almost eliminate the need for writing any DB-access code. At the same time advanced techniques like multi-level caching and fetch plans deliver substantial performance optimizations.

About Telerik
Telerik is a leading vendor of development tools and components for Microsoft .NET. Developers from most of the Fortune 2000 companies, many of the world's leading educational and non-profit organizations and thousands of consultants rely on Telerik products to build applications with unparalleled richness, responsiveness and interactivity.
