Content Verification for Accessibility Compliance

RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX integrates out-of-the-box with a real-time accessibility validation solution called Compliance Sheriff Accessibility Foundation Module. Developed by HiSoftware, the leaders in automated content compliance solutions, the Compliance Sheriff will check the authored HTML output directly from the RadEditor interface.

Accessible Content Authoring

In addition to verifying content for Web standards compliance, RadEditor allows users to generate accessible HTML output. Special parts of the UI provide the needed fields that have to be completed for compliance with the accessibility standards (Section 508 and W3C Accessibility Guidelines 1.0/2.0).

Accessible User Interface

The user interface of the RadEditor itself is accessible, so it can be used by people with impaired vision or other disabilities. Following a collaborative effort with Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) Telerik introduced enhancements to the content editor, which makes its interface truly accessible to people with disabilities. Some of the improvements are 100% coverage with keyboard shortcuts, standard browser dialogs, labels for select elements, TAB navigation and compatibility with screen readers (e.g JAWS).
