Telerik UI for Windows Phone by Progress

The RadWindow control allows you to customize the way it gets animated while opening or closing. This is done by setting the OpenAnimation and the CloseAnimation properties to the desired RadAnimation object. Here is an example.

CopyXAML
<telerikPrimitives:RadWindow x:Name="radWindow" IsFullScreen="True">
<telerikPrimitives:RadWindow.OpenAnimation>
<telerikCore:RadFadeAnimation StartOpacity="0.0" EndOpacity="1.0" Duration="0:0:0.3" />
</telerikPrimitives:RadWindow.OpenAnimation>
<telerikPrimitives:RadWindow.CloseAnimation>
<telerikCore:RadFadeAnimation StartOpacity="1.0" EndOpacity="0.0" Duration="0:0:0.3" />
</telerikPrimitives:RadWindow.CloseAnimation>
</telerikPrimitives:RadWindow>
Note
The telerikCore prefix used in the example is defined as follows: xmlns:telerikCore="clr-namespace:Telerik.Windows.Controls;assembly=Telerik.Windows.Core"

Additionally you can disable the animating of the RadWindow control by setting its IsAnimationEnabled property to False.

You can also use other animations from Telerik's Animation Framework and set them as OpenAnimation and CloseAnimation.

CopyXAML
<telerikPrimitives:RadWindow x:Name="radWindow" IsAnimationEnabled="True"></telerikPrimitives:RadWindow>
