Telerik UI for Windows Phone by Progress

The Telerik Cloud Controls for Windows Phone enable to you extend your Windows Phone application with Cloud functionality without having to deal with writing connection code by yourself. The controls cover common Cloud related scenarios like User Authentication, User Registration, Picture Upload, Picture Browsing, CRUD operations on data, In-App Notifications, etc. The Telerik Cloud Controls for Windows Phone are easily set up via a Visual Studio project template that makes sure to add the needed Telerik References and generate the setup code.


Please note that the cloud controls are in CTP version and in order to install them you need to follow these instructions.

The following controls are currently available in the Telerik Cloud Controls for Windows Phone:


To use the Telerik Cloud Controls for Windows Phone you need the following references:

  • Telerik.Windows.Core.dll
  • Telerik.Windows.Data.dll
  • Telerik.Windows.Controls.Primitives.dll
  • Telerik.Windows.Controls.Input.dll
  • Telerik.Windows.Controls.Data.dll
  • Telerik.Windows.Core.Cloud.dll
  • Telerik.Windows.Controls.Cloud.dll

Depending on the Cloud Service you want to initialize, you need to additionally reference the following assemblies:

For Everlive:

  • Telerik.Windows.Core.Cloud.Everlive.dll

For Azure:

  • Telerik.Windows.Core.Cloud.Azure.dll

Depending on whether you are deploying on the Windows Phone emulator or a Windows Phone device, you will need to use the corresponding assemblies - either from the x86 folder (when you are deploying on the emulator) or from the ARM folder (when you are deploying on the device). When you publish your app on the Windows Store, you need to use only the ARM assemblies.
