Telerik UI for Windows Phone by Progress

RadAutoCompleteBox exposes functionality for adjusting the behavior of the popup in which filtered suggestions are populated. By default the location of the popup is automatically calculated based on the available screen real estate. However, there is a possibility to manually adjust the position of the popup via the PopupDisplayMode property exposed by RadAutoCompleteBox.

Using the PopupDisplayMode property

The PopupDisplayMode property defines the location of the popup relative to RadAutoCompleteBox' inline part. The PopupDisplayMode property accepts the following values defined in an Enumeration:

  • Default
  • AboveTextBox
  • BelowTextBox
  • None

The Default display mode implies that the popup is automatically positioned according to the free screen real estate on the current page.

The AboveTextBox display mode implies that the popup is always positioned above the inline part of RadAutoCompleteBox.

The BelowTextBox display mode implies that the popup is always positioned below the inline part of RadAutoCompleteBox.

The None display mode implies that the popup is never displayed. This is a special scenario which allows for displating suggestions in a separate control.

The following XAML code snippet demonstrates how to set the PopupDisplayMode property:

CopyXAML
<telerikInput:RadAutoCompleteBox PopupDisplayMode="AboveTextBox"/>
