Telerik UI for Windows 8 XAML

In this help article, we are going to create a Pagination control using the Telerik UI for Windows Universal.

Add References

In order to use Telerik RadPagination control in your application, you have to add reference to the Telerik UI for Windows Universal SDK:

  • Right-click on your project and from the shortcut menu, choose Add Reference -> Windows -> Extensions -> Telerik UI for Windows Universal and then tap/click OK.

If you choose to add binaries instead, you will need the following references:

  • Telerik.Core.dll

  • Telerik.UI.Xaml.Primitives.dll

To add them:

  • Right-click on your project and from the shortcut menu, choose Add reference -> Browse -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\UI for Windows Universal\Binaries -> Select them and then tap/click OK.

To use RadPagination in XAML, you have to add the following namespace declaration in the main page:

  • xmlns:telerik="using:Telerik.UI.Xaml.Controls.Primitives"

Declare Instance

Now you are ready to declare a new RadPagination instance:

XAML Copy imageCopy

A Pagination control can be used with any ItemsControl. This example will show how to use it with a FlipView.

  • Create a FlipView.

  • Create a Pagination control instance

  • Use the PageProvider property of the Pagination to bind the FlipView:

    XAML Copy imageCopy
    <telerik:RadPaginationControl PageProvider="{Binding ElementName=flipview}"></telerik:RadPaginationControl>

Here's sample code and the expected output.

You can use pictures for the FlipView either from your project or Internet links.

XAML Copy imageCopy
<FlipView x:Name="flipview1" Height="200" Width="200">
<telerik:RadPaginationControl PageProvider="{Binding ElementName=flipview1}" Height="30" Margin="450"></telerik:RadPaginationControl>
