Make sure to run the installer as administrator (or from admin account) to avoid rights elevation problems. When the
Telerik Reporting installer fails for some reason, the way to determine what has caused problem is to generate an
installer log. Here are the steps to generate this log file:
Bring up a command prompt window: Click Start, in the prompt type cmd and press Enter.
Navigate to the folder where the Telerik Reporting installer is saved.
Input the following command: msiexec /i Telerik_Reporting.msi -l*xv install.log and press Enter.
In the above example, replace install.log with the directory path and filename you want the log saved to/as.
After you generate the file, archive it and attach it to a support ticket with information about the problem.
