Glossary Item Box

This documentation article is a legacy resource describing the functionality of the deprecated OpenAccess Classic only. The contemporary documentation of Telerik OpenAccess ORM is available here.

The following topic shows the standard OQL comparison operators and their function. The OpenAccess OQL implementation adds two additional operators, == (equality) and <> (inequality). These are the same as the standard OQL operators = and != respectively.

  • = - Equality
  • == - Equality (OpenAccess OQL extension)
  • LIKE - Equality (string argument with wildcard(s); refer to Wildcards)
  • != - Inequality (not equal)
  • <> - Inequality (not equal, OpenAccess OQL extension)
  • > - Greater than
  • >= - Greater than or equal to
  • < - Less than
  • <= - Less than or equal to
  • NOT LIKE - Does not match the wildcard pattern (refer to the Wildcards topic for more information)
OpenAccess translates the "==" operator to "=" and the "!=" operator to "<>" while creating SQL Statements. All the other operators are passed through while creating SQL Statements.
