I have an application that i am developing in ICENIUM Mist for a blog, which plays youtube videos inside the application using <iframe>. Currently i can get the videos to playing when Hardware Acceleration is on but the problem with this is that it affects the quality of the applications. It makes images in the applications blurry and also shows white screen during transitions to deferent screens. So this requires me to turn Hardware Acceleration off but when Hardware Acceleration is off i can only hear the audio from the video while no picture/video showing just a black screen. What other solution is there to resolving this problem?

I have tried using phongap video plugin but with that it opens the video in the youtube application i don't want to have to take the users into another application. Please help!

Thanks steve for your response. I have tried what you suggested in the other thread youtube video: audio, but no video. but no luck in getting this done this way the video still does not play. I also tried the first thing you did in the other thread Settings  Developer options  Force GPU rendering checked. this worked fine and the video played. I don't want to have to ask users to keep doing this in other to be able to watch videos in this app. Please help!

Hi,

This works for me in local tests and the other user in the referenced forum reported that it worked for him as well, so there must be something on your end. Have you tried your project on more than one device or tried the exact markup given in the referenced forum, which we already know works?

Thanks Steve. It appears to be working on Samsung galaxy s3 but it wont work on Galaxy Note 2. Did you happen to check if your sample worked on other devices?

Hello,

We have confirmed that it does not play on the Note 2, but could not find any information about such a problem on the net and apparently video support is inconsistent at best in the Android webview. You can try to use the approached listed in this post or if they do not help, report the problem to the Cordova guys, so they can post their expertise on this matter.
