I was curious to know if there was a way to create a mobile app that functions much like the Yahoo Group where people can join and then post messages to the group?

Hi Jay,
I am not pretty aware of Yahoo Group app, but we have similar app as a template in our IDE. You can try AppBuilder Friends app which is available both on our windows client and Telerik Platform.

This is not a feature of Telerik AppBuilder, rather a javascript implementation of how you can share messages with other users. We suggest reviewing the Friends sample app as well as others javascript solutions or even frameworks that deal with that kind of stuff. As you build a hybrid app based on HTML 5/JS/CSS, you have a wide variety of options.
