Hi Telerik People!

I was wondering if you are still working on this project? or has it stagnated?

Thanks

Robert

Hi Ivo

Thanks for responding.

I was referring to the Code Converter Project?

Thanks

Hi Robert-

This project was really more of a service for the community vs. an actual Telerik product. In fact, I am the only person who has worked on this project, and the real "heavy lifting" in this Code Converter is being done by the NRefatory code from the SharpDevelop team. My main focus was to use the Telerik UI components to provide a better experience for doing conversions (in addition to "wrapping" NRefactory to make simple snippet conversions possible).

We still do occasionally update this tool based on feedback, but it has been a while since the last update. I plan to do a number of updates in early 2010, so stay tuned for some improvements to both the UI and the conversion engine. Hopefully we'll be able to continue to make this a valuable resource for the .NET community.

Hi Todd

Thanks for responding.

Do you think that the code converting functionality would be a good feature in your JustCode product?

Hi Robert,
This sounds like a very cool idea. We'll definitely have it in mind, maybe not for the first version (Q1 2010) but we'll consider this as part of the backlog for Q2.

Sincerely yours,
Chris

Before you include this converter in *any* product, it needs a crapload of work. Some of the current conversion for VB-to-C# quite frankly bites.

Hello john,
You're right, should we decide to improve further the code converter and base it on JustCode's parsers we'll need to rework a lot of things.

Greetings,
Chris
