my email address is rejected as "incorrect" from the JustCode downloader prompt within VS

perhaps it's something to do with my country code??

The email IS correct as i use the same email to get the updates from the website

    Hello Michael,

Thank you for reporting this problem. Other customers reported this similar problems a while ago and it was fixed in JustCode's Q3 SP1 version (2010.3.1215). In case you have a version prior to that you could updated to the latest by downloading it from the web site directly. If it's a later version, it could have been a temporary glitch of the updates server and should be working fine now.
If you are still experiencing this problem, could you please log a support ticket and attach there JustCode's logs. You can find them in %localappdata%\JustCode\Logs. We will appreciate if you can zip the whole folder and send it over.

     I hope this will help.

    All the best,

My version is Q3 2010 SP1 (2010.3.1215.0) and I'm having the same problem. Should I also submit a help ticket?

    Hello Rayne,

Sorry for the late response. If you haven't updated to the latest version (2011 Q1 - 2011.1.315) and you still cannot download JustCode directly from Visual Studio, please, do submit a ticket including your log files. However if you have already updated then you can wait till we publish a new version and see if you could download it correctly.
In the next few weeks we will be publishing new internal builds and eventually a Service Pack with the most important fixes.

    Kind regards,
    Deyan

I am having a similar issue.  But here is a general question.  How can I just go and download the update?  I can't seem to find on the site where to get the update.  Do I just need to download the product as if new?  And for that matter, how do I get the update for Sitefinity?  I don't seem to be able to understand why I can't just have a more "manual", less integrated (and thus convoluted) means update getting updates.

    Hello Brian,

Thank you for the questions. Here is what you can try. When the new update dialog pops up:
         1. Clear the Email field and reenter the email that you use to login to telerik.com
This should cause the Password field to show.
        2. Enter the password you use to login to telerik.com and click Download.
Make sure you enter these credentials correctly. This should let you download the latest version.

Now, to address your general question. You can easily download the latest version of JustCode directly from the web site. Simply login and navigate to its download page. The auto-update dialog is simply another way to get it to all customers. Each new version of JustCode is self-contained and does not depend on you having a previous version.

Unfortunately, I cannot be of help about Sitefinity updates. I'd suggest you write a quick post to its forum or directly submit a ticket and the team will get back to you with more details.

    I hope this helps.
