I'm using a RadWindow but when I do ShowDialog no background is displayed.  What do I need to do to make the ModalBackground show?  Does't work for ShowDialog or Alert.

Hi Heather,

You should be able to see the ModalBackground with no problem. Could you send a sample illustrating the issue you are experiencing ?

All the best,

Late yesterday I found another post that said that the ModalBackground only works for Silverlight and WPF in XBAP situations, is that the case?  Should it work for a WPF client app?

Hi Heather,

Yes, you are correct - RadWindow ModalBackground is supported for Silverlight and XBAP applications. Supposedly, this is the reason why you cannot view it. We are sorry if this has caused you inconvenience.

Please, get back to us with any further questions you might have.

Best wishes,

Is this still the case with not being able to display a ModalBackgroundColor in WPF? Has an ticket already been assigned for this feature because this is something that my clients are currently complaining about ...the inability to tell visually that they are looking at a model dialog versus a plain ol' window. Could you please update us on the progress on addressing this as I cannot be the only one that is looking for this feature....

Thanks,
AJ

Hello Arie,

Modal background feature is not available for WPF (except XBAP). This is a limitation of the framework and is not relevant to RadControls.
