Hello Roger,
May you send us a screenshot of the menu before and now? Our menu looks good with dark Foreground. If you are customizing the Background and Foreground you may consider creating a custom styles and control templates for the RadMenu and RadMenuItem.

Sorry, I am not going to go revert my code just so send you a screenshot.
You changed the foreground on the last relsease.
Do you really think users want to have to go visually check every little corner of their applicaiton for one little update to your controls?

I am really sorry we have betrayed your trust and I really hope this will not happen in future. Meanwhile is there any chance I could help you? You do not have to revert your project but still you could send a picture of the new menu and point us which colors irritate you and give a suggestion how to improve our product. After all our menu is supposed to display black foreground. Any information about which versions of the controls you upgraded from and which theme you are using would be of help as well as information about if you styled additionally the RadMenu and RadMenuItems with styles and/or custom ControlTemplates and if you applied Background/Foreground on them.
Some of our controls are under development and although we try to keep changes like the one you mentioned new features of Silverlight are released on yearly basis as well as we have client requests for some controls to be improved leading to backwards incompatibilities. We would not however brake stuff at random just to irritate our clients. If something have changed in the menu it probably was done with good intentions in mind.
