Hi friends,

I just came across this product and was just wondering if one can use OpenAccess ORM freely on the machine even if any telerik component has not been installed on that machine. Or I wouid have some limitations ?

I am thinking of using MySQL database.

Thanks,
-Aarsh

Hi Aarsh,

Telerik's OpenAccess ORM is a stand alone mapping tool that works completely independent from the rest of the Telerik's products. Its overall presentation is available on the corporate site of Telerik. I would also suggest you to take a look at our Quick Start Guide and Quick Start Video series. Moreover, here you can find detailed information about OpenAccess' features.

If by "use OpenAccess ORM freely" you mean being able to integrate OpenAccess in your solution without installing it, the tutorial on that matter is here. In such case, you will be able to use the OpenAccess core runtime and its entire API, but you will lack the Visual Studio integration features -  like Visual Designer and the project templates.

If I did not manage to answer your question or you need additional information about OpenAccess, do not hesitate to get back to us.

All the best,
