Hi, I recently had to format mi harddrive. When i tried to reinstall Data Access 2014, the installer told me to download latest version or close. So, i installed newest Data Access with nuget. Now I realize I had no visual designer anymore, and my project fails to run. Is there a transition guide or something to make old projects compatible with DataAcces 2015??

The outcome you experienced after the installation of Data Access Q2 2015 through the control panel is expected due to the Visual Studio integration deprecation. Currently, Data Access is distributed only through five NuGet packages.
In order to maintain your existing projects that consume Data Access (especially such with .rlinq files), you need to migrate the .rlinq file to a fluent model and integrate the NuGet packages. The details and the workflow about the migration process are available here. A prerequisite of the migration process is Data Access Q1 2015. You can download it from your Telerik account (here).
I hope this helps. Let me know if you need further information.

Hi,
The designer is no longer available at that link - 404 not found.
I am checking the Telerik site but have not found it yet.
Hi,
I'm trying to download Data Access Q1 2015 but the link is broken again.

I figured it out! Saw in another thread that the download link only works if you have previously download DataAccess with you account.
I had downloaded DataAccess with another account so once I logged in to that account the download worked!
Thanks!
Jonas
is the visual designer coming back in a newer version?
We find this very handy to work with
The Visual Designer was deprecated along with the rest of the Visual Studio integration. The last version of Visual Studio where the designer will be available is 2013 and it will be available with Telerik Data Access Q1 2015. The upcoming versions of Telerik Data Access will not deliver Visual Studio integration.

Being lazy I started to modify the Visual Studio code generator. It is not as good as the original but it saves me a lot of time typing the fluent model. Maybe it is of use for you too.

I've found a way in SQL Server Management Studio.
