Hello dada tata,

Currently there are a few limitations of the new designer. You cannot add the domain model items to a project that targets a .NET version different than 3.5 or to a web site project. Also, there is no Visual Studio 2010 support yet due to some breaking changes in the code generation.

If your situation does not fall into any of these cases and you still do not see the Telerik Domain Model template in the Add New Item dialog, please check if the templates are properly installed on your machine. They should be located under the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\ItemTemplates\CSharp (or VisualBasic)\Data as a EntityDiagrams.zip. If the templates are not there, please try reinstalling OpenAccess, but make sure that you completely remove it first prior to re-installing. You should also double-check the version that you have installed, if it is different than 2010.1.312.2, then you should download the latest OpenAcess build from the Telerik web site and use it instead.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you experience any further difficulties.

Best wishes,
Serge

Hi dada tata,

We had a problem with the uninstaller of the previous version. Can you uninstall OpenAccess again, then manually remove all the Telerik.OpenAccess assemblies from the GAC(if there are such) and install it again.

This should fix the problem, please contact us if this is not the solution.

you confirm that Openaccess work with Visual Web Developer Express 2008, and Visual C# Express 2008?
I don't know if this is different to run it on Visual Studio 2008. I have the Express edition.

Hello dada tata,

I am sorry, I have overlooked your Visual Studio version. The Express editions of all products in the Visual Studio family have no support for add-ins, thus you are not able to use the designer. You will have to install a non-express edition in order to use Telerik OpenAccess ORM. Again I am sorry I misled you.

Please contact us if you encounter any more issues.

Hi dada tata,
All except for the visual designer is running nicely in Visual Studio 2010. The designer support will be provided in some of our upcoming service packs.
