I could not get the GridView working.  It crashed expression blend.  I was not able to see it in the list of controls  available in Blend even though I have references to it in my project.

Hi LCJ,

Thank you for your interest in our control.

We have a known issue with our CTP RadGridView throwing an NullReferenceException in Microsoft Blend which is now fixed and it will be included in the upcoming release this week. More details about this error you can see here. Is this your case? If it is not could you provide us with more details about the error and the version of the Blend that you use?

Also RadGridView appears in the list of available controls in Blend. Please see the attached image for a reference. The version of the Blend that we used is Blend2 SP1 Version 2.1.1760.0 .  If the version of the Blend that you use is older I suggest you try with this one and let us know how this goes.

I too cannot find the GridView in Blend. I added reference to the GirdView dll, but the control does not appear in the asset Library. Am using Blend 2 SP1 that you have mentioned.

Hi Anand,

There are two things to watch out for when using RadGridView from the asset library:
  1. Make sure you have the correct references added: you need references to Telerik.Windows.Data, Telerik.Windows.Controls, Telerik.Windows.Controls.Input, and Telerik.Windows.Controls.GridView. See Blend_References.png for details.
  2. In the Asset Library window, check the "Show All" checkbox, and either select the Custom Controls tab or start typing the control name, in our case -- RadGridView. See Blend_AssetLibrary.png for details.
Tell me if you still have problems using the control from Blend.
