I manually installed the controls and I successfully added an OutlookBar to my form.  When I try to add items to the bar via the visual studio UI, I get a generic object as a place holder and no properties to set.  I can add them via Xaml.  Am I missing a reference or is this the expented behavior?

Hello Michael,

Please accept our apologies for the delayed response.
I am not quite sure how are you adding items to the OutlookBar, so can you please describe it more explicit?
Anyway I have recorded a screen cast that demonstrates adding RadOutlookBarItems via the RadOutlookBar's Items collection. You can watch it here.
Please let us know if this approach is acceptable for you.
If your scenario/expectation is quite different that the demonstrated one we will be happy to further assist you, once you provide us the additional information.

Actually the issue was resolved with the new installer that I downloaded.  I am now able to fully demo your product.  So far so good, only if I had more information on the basics of the Outlook bar, I think it would fit nicely into my project.  Is there some decent documentation and/or examples?

Hello Michael,

I am glad to hear that the problem is resolved.
You can find examples of the RadOutlookBar in our official demo.
And the documentation for it is located here.
Please let us know if you experience any problem with our controls or you need some additional/specific help.

All the best,
