Ive installed the dsk and the the free edition installs and am not seeing any change to VStudio envioronment. I've opened the Tools add in manager and no addins are available. I've checked the C:\Program Files\Telerik\OpenAccess ORM and its subfolders(bin, documentation, productSDK,src) and no sign of any addin file

Hi Dale,

Unfortunately the Telerik OpenAccess Free Edition comes with Visual Studio integration for only the latest visual studio, that is 2010. You will not be able to use it with 2008. You can find a comparison chart on this page that has all of the limitations of the free edition listed.

As to the SDK, it does not provide any visual studio integration and is completely standalone. You can still browse the examples in it.

I hope this helps.

All the best,
Serge

It is curious that the setup for Open Access shows VStudio 2008 as one of the options.  What is the point of that if the product does not run under this environment?

Hello Richard,

This thread refers to an old version of the free edition of Telerik OpenAccess ORM. Currently OpenAccess ORM complete with all of its features is a free product. This includes integration with Visual Studio 2008 Standard and Professional edition.

If you have any more questions, feel free to post at our forums again.
