I have some screenshots of this, but am not sure where I can post it.

With the Stylebuilder open, using a RadTreeView, at IDLE CPU usage is 23% for that process.

I have a quad core, and task manager shows 2 cores at 50% each.

This is during IDLE, I don't even have the window active, and it stays at that usage even when minimized.

I am running on 32-bit Vista Pre-SP1, Intel Core-2 Quad 4GB RAM, Radeon 2900HD.

Hello Randall,

Thank you for your efforts to help us.

We are investigating this problem with the CPU load, unfortunately we are not able to systematically reproduce the problem in a straightforward series of actions. What we have observed so far is that the CPU load starts after some actions are performed in the VSB. We will be happy to reward with Telerik points if you help us with this problem by sending us the exact steps you take with the VSB before getting the high CPU utilization. We will try to reproduce the problem with a similar to your configuration and will try to solve the issue.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Peter

I see this all the time with Silverlight RadTreeView. When I mouse over the nodes in the tree my CPU
spikes up to 80-100 persent and that is on a 8 way core. How do I fix
it?

Hello Dan,

I would kindly ask you to address your question to the appropriate Telerik Silverlight forum section. This will allow those of our users who are interested in the topic to find the answer more easily. Please also provide us with additional details about your case as you are the first who reports the issue and we can't reproduce it on our side.

Greetings,
Nikolay
