I am trying to view the diy workshop video on the homepage and am only able to get audio. I just upgraded to media player 10 but it still won't show video. Any help? Before I updated it complained about a codec but now it doesn't, it just doesn't show any video. Thanks, Scott

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is "diy workshop video"? And which homepage do you refer to?

lol, wtf? now its not there anymore. it was where the telerik events block is on the home page now instead of the "telerik reporting challange", and it was called Telerik_Webcast-DIY_Forums by Todd from telerik and he was demonstrating building a web forms app using rad grid, rad editor etc...
nevermind I guess now because I guess i can't find it anywhere on the site.

Hello Scott,
The video is now available on the RadControls overview page at http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet/overview.aspx.
It seems to be running as expected on our side. Do you get any error while running the video? What is you environment (OS, Media Player, etc)?
All the best,
John

WinXP SP2. Latest update of Media Player. It plays the audio but no video shows. I was just wondering if there was some codec I had to download or something. I'll download it again and see if it works this time.
Thanks,
Scott

Hmmm...re-downloaded it, still doesn't work in media player. Tried it in Quicktime, Winamp and in a divx player just for the heck of it and none worked either. I'll try it on a different computer next.

I just tried to view it on my laptop. Winxp sp2 in media player. It doesn't show video either. Can someone convert it to a macromedia flash movie or something for me heh heh.

Scott,
don't feel bad.. I can't get the video to do anything but audio either. I've tried on both my XPsp2 workstation and my Vista laptop.
The problem is that we don't have the right codex that the video was encoded in. Looking to Telerik to tell us what that is (hopefully)

After doing some digging around, I found the original web based screen cast here

Hi everyone,
There seems to be a problem with the encoding of the video. In order to view it you need to install TechSmith video codec (http://www.techsmith.com/download/codecs.asp). We'll also try to fix the problem and upload a new file ASAP.

Thanks Jason for posting that link. I appreciate it. I watched it last night. I love those kinds of videos and hope Telerik cranks more out soon.
I'll download the codec to. Thanks Telerik Support.
