Hi Randy,
Thank you for your interest in UI for NativeScript.
At that point, NativeScript UI has two sample project one based on NativeScript TypeScript template and another on NativeScript Angular 2.
In this regard, you could clone the TypeScrippt sample project and build it on your side. the TypeScript files will be to JavaScript.
Steps:
1. git clone https://github.com/telerik/nativescript-ui-samples
2. cd nativescript-ui-samples/sdk
3. tns run <platform_name>
