We have an ASP.NET site that uses silverlight & ajax.net in various parts of the page. For this we will be using telerik controls as well as custom user controls some containing silverlight.

There is a requirement that users will be able to change the theme of the website. they don't want this to simply be a change to some colours e.g. background and text.

We want to use a combination of .net themes, telerik themes for both the html (ajax) and silverlight.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Is there a way for silverlight to use external themes?

Hi Wayne,

Generally speaking, what you want to achieve is doable. Our Silverlight themes are separate assemblies, that contain XAML. You could dynamically download those assemblies and apply the themes at runtime. I am not sure that I correctly understand what you mean by external Silverlight themes, but if these are customized themes, yes, you could create a custom theme or modify an existing one and apply it to the Telerik controls in a Silverlight application.

Sincerely yours,
