Hello there,

I was trying to hook RAD window in a DNN module. I was able to get to function in no time (great job on that), but am facing a problem with the window position while in IE.

Basically the window dock top-left on IE, while on FF is loads in the middle of the screen (which is the desired outcome).

What is even stranger is that exactly the same code in a simple aspx page DOES work in IE. Basically when in DNN, the positioning is CAPUT on IE.

Has anyone had this issue before?

FYI - using DNN 4.7.0

Hi netguy,

Can you please specify whether do you experience this behavior when you are logged in the DNN or logged out? I am asking you this because when you are logged in, the DNN uses Javascript to add relative positioning of the elements on the page which allows you to reposition them in admin mode. These changes however can affect RadWindow as well, which position on the page is calculated against the parent element.
Another possible reason for this problem is some global CSS styles that are used on the page which can also interfere with the RadWindow positioning.

Hi Georgi,

Thank you for your response.
I did try logging out.. and had the same issue.
As far as the skin is concerned, I was testing this with the default DNN skin.

As a side note, I then tried using the ASP.net Ajax ModalPopup control - and was having issues as well. The more I look into this, the more it seems to be a DNN issue and specifically with IE.

I'll continue searching for a solution, but let me know if you ever find something with RAD Window that can fix this.

Hi,
we have a similar issue with Window prometheus and position in dnn 4.7

In a very long list of items page scrolls down; when clicking on bottom items window opens in the top of the page so users can not see it.
You can see it here:
http://www.autofossano.it/Occasioni/tabid/971/language/it-IT/Default.aspx

not sure this is the same issue or just we have missed something in the configuration of windows positioning

Bye

Hi luca,

Can you please make sure that you are using the latest version of RadControls "Prometheus"? I am asking you this because we've had such problem in previous versions of the control, but it was fixed in the last update.

The latest release is the "Futures" one and it is available for download in your Client.net account.

Georgi,

I was not using the FUTURES. I will download it now and test it out.
Will let you know how it goes.

Thanks.

Antonio.

Georgi,
thanks for youu reply.
After downloading "futures" version of prometheus everything is ok!.

Just a couple of question:
When prometheus will be released?
And, when it will be released, it will contain "standard" or "futures" ?

thanks again

Bye

Hi guys,

Luca, the new Q3 release of RadControls which will also include the Q3 version of RadControls "Prometheus" BETA is scheduled to appear next week.
RadControls “Prometheus” for ASP.NET will be officially released with Q1 2008 in March once all UI controls in RadControls for ASP.NET have their “Prometheus” counterparts.

More information is available in the FAQ section on our site.
