It seems that it should be possible to use a private (corporate) Git repository instead of using a hosted service.  Is there any reason that this would not work?

Assuming there are no insurmountable barriers to doing this, what is required of the private repository:  must the URL be accessible via http? https? what about ssh?  Will this work if the repository is only accessible within a private network (including VPN)?

Thanks.

Hello Robert,

Thank you for using Icenium.

The only requirement for an Icenium repository remote is that it should have public http or https endpoint so our services can access and clone the repository for you.

I'm afraid that cloning through ssh and cloning from private network through VPN are not supported scenarios at the moment.
I can assure you that our team is evaluating new opportunities which will allow enterprise users to work with such repositories.

Sincerely,
