Using listboxitem visuals as wide tile content

Hello,

I'm trying to convert at listboxitem into a visual element for a wide tile background, but have no idea how to get a "screenshot" of the visual element.  I'm not trying to get you guys to write my code, but a step in the write direction would be very helpful.
