Hi Telerik team,

Does Telerik charts have a feature to select a range of points in plot area. We are in a situation to select a range of values and calculate its average and
display. Currently we are using Telerik 2013.2.611.45 Version . Can you suggest the best way to implement. See image Attached below.

Thanks!

Hello Anu,

I have logged such a feature request here - http://feedback.telerik.com/Project/108/Feedback/Details/157746 so that you can monitor, comment and vote on it. For the time being you can configure the selection through the kendo widget as illustrated in the item.

Since, however, you are using an older version of the controls you can try to access the kendo widget through the _chartObject property and not through the get_kendoWidget() method.

 Hi,

Can you confirm that the selection feature  works with Scatter line series. If yes, please provide a working sample or important code snippets. Thanks!

Hello Anu,

I can confirm that the selection feature works only with category series (e.g., line, area, bar, column) and not with numeric series like scatter ones.
