When adding a URL in the textfield (e.g. www.telerik.com), the site opens in the same frame. I would be much better, that the linked URL will open in a new window or tab.

Is it possible t configure the target="_blank" behaviour?

Hi,

Both the MOSS hyperlink dialog and the built-in RadEditor hyperlink manager offer the ability to open links in new windows. I am attaching screenshots to show you how to do that.

Kind regards,

The link is inserted as text and it is shown as a link.
In that case: the need is to open a new window automatically too.
I cannot assume that all of our thousends of users use the link manager.
The reality is the users just enter links as text.

Is it possible to change the "text link behaviour" in RAD editor by default ?

Hi,

I see now what you are trying to explain. Unfortunately, creating links as you type is a feature of the underlying browser editing engine (which our editor uses). This means that we do not control the creation or properties of these links. You will need to right-click the link, open the link properties dialog and set the target there.

Alternatively, you can create a custom content filter and set it so it adds the target attribute to all anchors in the editor content. For more information about content filters - visit this help article: http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet/editor/?ContentFilters.html. The only difference in a MOSS environment will be that you need to specify the OnClientLoad property from the editor's configuration file.

I'm trying to add an own content filter im my MOSS-Environment but it won't work.
Where do I have to add my content filter-javascript (I have tried it in the master-page of the moss-website) and where do I have to add the property (I have tried it in the ListConfigFile.xml of the radEditor-Feature)?

Hi Martin,

Some clients have reported a problem with setting OnClientLoad the current editor for MOSS. We have fixed and it will be available in the next official release. The ConfigFile.xml is used in the WCM and Web Part scenarios, while the ListConfigFile.xml is used in lists (which includes blogs, wikis, etc.).

You can add the javascript to the site's master page using SharePoint Designer or you can add it to an existing editor script file. For example, you can append your custom script to the MOSSEditorTools.js file, located in \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\wpresources\RadEditorSharePoint\4.1.0.0__1f131a624888eeed\RadControls\Editor\Scripts\7_1_1\
