Hi,

I have just updated our TeamPulse version via the Control Panel to version April 14, 2014

Firstly, this is a massive improvement  to the upgrade process and glad it is finally here since the troubles in previous version upgrades. Also, it seems to have remembered all the IIS settings...another tick to the new upgrade process.

However, I can now only run the new version on the local server it is installed on. Our PC's that have access to the server are given this error:

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to tfs:9898

What am I missing? Why can't we see the the TFS login page to then login with our Windows Credentials?

Thanks in advance,

Ben

Further to this your documentation is not keeping up.

There are no screen shots of what it looks like using the control panel.

Hi Ben,

I'm glad that the new installation process is better. We have invested time to improve it. We will also take our time to update our documentation as you mentioned.

About your problem, I would ask you to check your config files according to this article. Can you follow the steps in order to fix the problem. You could also use the TeamPulse Uri Changer.

If this is not helpful, I would ask you to send us your config files and your Log files so we can investigate further.

Also are there any other changes that you have made on your TeamPulse or IIS?
Any change may be important so let us know if you have made any.

We are looking forward for your reply.

Hi Ivan,

We have now resolved this issue.

It was the firewall that caused the problem.

May I suggest you make it clearer in the knowledge base that if you can't connect from a workstation that IIS is not the only item to check. We eventually found some help in the link below by a great screen cast from Joel. I believe this will help others if it is in the Knowledge base and should also be in the Instillation Guide pages for 'Configuring the Web Server'.

Thanks.
