Upgrade to SP2 (and move to new server)

    I've restored the backup of our current teampulse database to a new server, which seemed to work without problem.
    I now have upgraded the new server to teampulse Q3 SP2 and I get an activation message when I try and access the site.

    I enter my details and there is an error:
    Activation was unsuccessful.
    • There was no endpoint listening at https://www.telerik.com/services/LicenseService/Service.svc that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.
    This means I cannot log in to the installation to confirm it's up and running (to then trash the old installation).

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hello Ben,

    Does the new server have external internet access? It will need to be able to contact telerik.com in order to perform an automated activation. You can try using a web browser to point to https://www.telerik.com/services/LicenseService/Service.svc where you should see some basic service information if it is accessible from that machine.

    Alternatively you can follow the Manual Activation instructions to acquire a license key via another machine and insert that into the TeamPulse application. The on-screen instructions should guide you through the process but please feel free to respond here if you have any questions.

    Thanks David, the firewall was only allowing certain applications to get through to the Internet, and I had missed that setting! All working now thanks
