My app was published to the app store and already approved and online.

I wanted to know, as I don't have a Mac and used the Windows Client to upload the binary - how can I update the app. Do I use the same procedure? I don't want it to create a second app, just update the current one with some fixed.

Thanks

I created a new version in itunes connect, and now it's waiting for upload state.

I tried to upload the build from within the Windows client and I get:

ERROR ITMS-6000: "Uploads of Mac and iOS apps are only supported on OS X." at SoftwareAssets/SoftwareAsset(MZltmspSoftwareAssetPackage)

Any idea what is wrong?

Hi Idan,

Please, accept our apologies for the inconvenience you are currently experiencing. We are experiencing a downtime of our Publishing services that results in the error you are receiving. As stated across ourforums and on status.telerik.com, we are currently working on providing a fix for this.

You can track our progress in the forums and in the incident report on status.telerik.com. You can also subscribe to receive notifications. We are hoping to provide a resolution as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience.

Regarding your other question - you can use the same procedure to update your app. However, do not forget to update both the version in your Project Properties and in your application record in iTunes Connect. Also, keep in mind that these should match.

Hi Idan,

We are glad to inform you that the issue has been resolved and you can now publish and update your apps to the App Store via the Publish wizard in AppBuilder. However, you might notice a significant slowdown in the publishing process caused by changes on Apple's side.

Please, accept our apologies for the disruption in your work.

Hi Idan,

Such an error might be caused by any of the following things:

  • You have the Telerik Mobile Testing plugin enabled in your project.
  • You have added the jsHybugger plugin in your project.
  • You have the Telerik AppFeedback plugin enabled in your project.
  • You are missing one or more application icons / launch images. You can read more about them here.
  • There is a mismatch between the Version you have set in the Project Properties and the version you have set in the iTunes Connect application record. These two should match. (This is very common when updating an app.)
  • You have enabled one or more Background Modes which are not actually used by your app.
  • You are using any other third-party private API that Apple does not allow.

Please, check if any of these might be the issue and let us know if you need further assistance.

Hi Iva,

I am experiencing the same error as Idan when trying to publish to the iOS App Store.

"ERROR ITMS-6000: "Uploads of Mac and iOS apps are only supported
on OS X." at SoftwareAssets/SoftwareAsset(MZltmspSoftwareAssetPackage)"

I have checked the Telerik Platform Status and it says everything is operational. Any idea what else could be causing this? I have not had this problem with any prior updates.

Hello Jason,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It seems that we have introduced a small regression that was affecting some users and causing the reported error. We have now fixed the issue and updated your Telerik points as a token of our appreciation.

Please, check if you can publish your app and let us know if you are still experiencing issues. Keep in mind that the upload process has become very slow and might time out. Should you receive an "Unable to upload" error, please, check your binary status in iTunes Connect. If it's Upload Received or Waiting for Review, your binary upload has been successful even though the timeout has occurred.

Thank you!

Hi Iva,

Thanks for your assistance. I have tried to publish my application but I am receiving the following error "Cannot Upload Application" .
I have gone through the possible causes which you listed in a previous post in reply to Idan and none seem to be causing the problem.
The last version I published successfully was on the 26th of April 2014 and no major functionality has been added or removed since then.

Do you have any additional ideas of what might be causing the "Cannot Upload Application" error?

Hi Jason,

I have already mentioned in my previous reply that something like this can happen due to a time out. Please, log in iTunes Connect and check the status of your binary.

Please, log in iTunes Connect, go to Manage Your Apps, select your application record and check its status. For more information about your uploads, you can go to View Details -> Status History and check the history of your binary.

If it is still Waiting for Upload, retry publishing. If it is in the Upload Received or Waiting for Review states, the upload has been successful even though the error has occurred.

Hi Iva,

In regards to my previous post and your reply, I have been checking iTunes Connect and the status remained as "Waiting for Upload". After about 12 attempts it did eventually go through.

Thanks for all your assistance

Hey Jason,

Thanks for the patience to retry the operation. We are working on improving the performance of publishing but it is largely dependent on the Apple services and is tied to the update they introduced a few days ago. We hope to be able to speed things up for you all as we realize that this publish - error - check in iTunes Connect is not the best workflow.

Again, thanks for the understanding. Keep an eye out for our release notes as we will surely mark any updates to this issue in there.
