    Dear Friends,

1.We have MDI form in our project. when we open a child form and on maximizing it,we are getting address bar with improper design(all min,max and close buttons in address bar are with double lines). and unwanted another address bar is getting opened.
2.If we open 2 child forms in MDI,second child form is getting first child's text if both are  maximized.

I am providing screen shot for reference.
Please have a look on it and help us as soon as possible.

    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Pradeep

    Hi Pradeep Enugala,

    Thank you for contacting us.

I took a look at you screenshot but I am unable to reproduce the described visual glitch. I am attaching a very simple MDI application, which demonstrates how it works with RadForms and the Desert theme.

I did not manage to reproduce the second issue as well. If you try my example, you will see that the text of the created child form is not the same as the previous one.

Feel free to modify my sample, according to your scenario and in order to reproducing reported issues and sent it back to me in a new support ticket. This will allow me to investigate your case further and provide you with accurate assistance.

    Best wishes,

    Hi Martin Vasilev ,

Thank you for your response.i forgotten to mention that i have taken RadRibbonForm as MDI.i think i am getting an unwanted header is owing to RadRibbonBar of the form as it consists of an header in addition to form's header.

My one more question about MDI form is when we maximize a child form, we are unable to see how many other child forms are opened in MDI(i.e. i suppose that, when we maximize a child form,we must show other forms in minimized states at the down of the maximized form.otherwise user can't notify opened forms )

    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Pradeep

    Hi Pradeep Enugala,

Thank you for the additional details. Actually, the different button styling is coming from Desert theme settings. However, we have already changed this in the latest Q1 2010 SP2 release. I would recommend you to download and give it a try.

As to your second question, the described requirement is out of the MDI standards defined by the Microsoft specifications. We are using the Microsoft MDI implementation in our RadForm and RadRibbonForm and I am afraid that the MDI behavior cannot be customized.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
