Unit Test runner with Gallio/MBUnit DLL's only

Hi,

I'm running JustCode Version Q3 2011 SP1 (2011.3.1221.0).

I'm trying to get the unit test runner to run MbUnit 3 unit tests, however, it doesn't appear to be working correctly.  My test show up in the Unit Test Window, however, running them does nothing and the tests are left with a "Not Executed" status.

I do NOT have the installation version of MbUnit 3/Gallio installed, but rather, I'm using the Gallio & MbUnit DLL's NuGet package (See here: http://nuget.org/packages/mbunit) which installs and references the following: Gallio.dll, Gallio40.dll, MbUnit.dll, MbUnit40.dll

I suspect my inability to run the MbUnit Tests is due to me not having the full Gallio/MbUnit installation package installed.

Should I still be able to run MbUnit tests with JustCode's Test Runner, without having the full installation of Gallio installed, and only using the NuGet package?   If so, can anyone offer assistance as to how to get it working?

OP here.  I have also asked this question as a support ticket, and I have recently received the following reply regarding this issue:

Hi,

 Indeed there is an issue with the current version of mbunit and gallio from NuGet and JustCode Test Runner. We will investigate it further and devise a fix for that. As a workaround if you still want to use only the dlls you can reference mbunit.dll and gallio.dll from JustCode's installation folder. (Program Files (x86)\Telerik\JustCode\Libraries\Extensions\MbUnitV3\) This is only for not stopping your work. We will make sure we are compatible with NuGet versions of mbunit and gallio in the near future versions.

This is still an issue, 5 months later.  Any timeline on when it may not care what version of mbunit?

We still haven't planned when exactly this will be fixed. I'll let you know when we have a clear timeline.
