Hello,

Can you access https://app.icenium.com in your device's browser? Do you experience the same problem with another project?

Hello Keen,

It is pretty much straight-forward - in order for ION to be able to load the app from the QR code, you need to have internet connectivity enabled and access to app.icenium.com where the .ipa file is stored. If you don't comply with any of these requirements, you would not be able to use the QR code in Mist and you can use Graphite to deploy your app to your iPad instead.

Hi Keen,

Try the following:
  1. Upgrade to latest iOS version if it is not.
  2. ION installation might be messed up - try uninstalling ION and reinstall it from app store again.
  3. Open iTunes and delete the app files directly just to make sure (click on your iPad mounted icon -> Apps -> File Sharing -> Icenium ION -> select Icenium ION Documents and press Delete on your keyboard to remove them.
If you're running on PC, you can also use Graphite to deploy your app to your iPad or if you have an Apple provision, you can build in Mist for Provision, download the .ipa and deploy manually.

Steve

Hi Keen,

Yes, you need iTunes installed on your system in order for Graphite to recognize your device. If you still have problems after installing iTunes, check the following help article from our documentation for more info how to troubleshoot Graphite recognizing your device: Icenium Graphite Stops Recognizing Your iOS Device.

I  can now enjoy Icenium Ion and Mist on my device. Its now working! thanks Steve.
The only solution is connect to iTunes and enable Ion livesync for the error not to prompt.

I'm having a similar problem. I can run a template app in a simulated devices in Mist on both (A) my laptop and (B) my iPhone _IF_ I go to the site (app.icenium.com) . If I run into problems using Icenium Ion, however:

1. Right after I install Icenium Ion on my iPhone, it comes with a basic demo app. I close the help screen, and hold three fingers for a second. I get the "Unable to start HTTPconnection" error every time.

2. If I select to run my application in the Mist by using "Run on Device", then select iOS and Icenium Ion, I get the QR code. When I scan it with my QR scanning app (Microsoft Tag),  nothing happens (blank screen in the scanning app - probably meaning that the QR code is not recognized). Same happens if I scan the QR code you have on your site for Icenium Ion app.

What can i do to make my app in Mist to demo on my iPhone?

Thanks!

Never mind. Another QR scanner worked. Apparently, Microsoft Tag app is not a tool to be used with Icenium QR codes.Everything is working now as expected.

Hello Belgin,

Would you mind elaborating on the exact issue you are having. Since this thread is quite outdated and discusses a couple of cases, I am not sure what kind of issue you are running into.

If you can let us know which AppBuilder client you are using and what workflow you are following, I will gladly help you resolve the issue.
