If I place a subreport on a report and try and select the report object, then Report Document the subsequent popup screen is just blank and white. I have attached some screenshots. Any ideas? This makes it very tedious to create a subreport as I need to manually edit the Designer.cs and .resx files.

Hello Craig,
Please verify reports are built in a separate ClassLibrary based on the recommended Best Practices. Then rebuild the project before running the ReportSource Wizard.
My recommendation is to use the 'Type Name' option on specifying a report. You can test the feature with a sample blank report, in case other reports are customized and their types cannot be loaded in VS.

I can confirm when I moved the reports into their own dll this works correctly.

Click the report , then Preview the report, then HTML Preview , after that you will see it on the lest
