Unable to open tests

When I try to open a test in Visual Studio 2012 I am receiving the following error.

"The server did not provide a meaningful reply; this might be caused by a contract mismatch, a premature session shutdown or an internal server error."

After this I get a blank test page.   If I attempt to close the test page I then get prompted to save changes.   I am assuming this is because all the test steps have been clearned out.


My test studio express version is 2013.1.911.

What troubleshooting steps can I take to find the cause of this error.

Hello,

I've not seen this error before so wondering if that's specific to the project, VS or Test Studio issue. I did a quick search and got a number of reports from the web (you can probably find more).

It might be useful to check the Test Studio application log as we get exceptions traced for troubleshooting. Please follow the guidance from this article and send the log as soon as you hit this again. Thank you!
