I keep running across this example Styling a Row and this example Override Default GridView Styles of how to edit RadGridView's GridViewRow style properties (i.e. ItemOuterBorder_Over, etc). However, when I follow the steps down to the line "The properties available for the style will be loaded in the 'Properties' pane and you will be able to modify their default values.", I am never able to duplicate what is being shown in the article. I am never presented with any specific properties or styling options for editing event-related brushes and so on. I have tried many different permutations of interacting with Blend, checked every single pane and dropdown, have tediously raked over the Properties and Resources and States and Parts tabs for each level of the Grid, GridViewRow, generated RowStyle, Parts, etc.
I'm using VS2012 and Blend 5 - is this the problem? Do I need an older version of Blend? Is there some other compatibility issue that I may not be aware of between the parent control or the target row template I intend to edit? I'm trying to alleviate the hours of finding the XAML that represents the entire controltemplate interaction of a GridViewRowStyle and then editing the necessary visual states manually as opposed to editing the properties directly in Blend -- which is exactly what it's meant for. I assume so, anyways.
Any help or other user's experiences and solutions are much appreciated!
