After I log into Mist I am not able to open any of the projects I've created. Mist hangs with the Loading icon constantly spinning. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Hello Trung,

What browser do you use? If Chrome, try the following: Chrome tools menu -> Settings -> Disconnect your Google account button. Close Chrome, reopen it and login to Mist again. This problem started occuring in the latest version 30.0.1599.69 m that was pushed in the last couple of days. We would further investigate what is causing this issue.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the reply.  I tried what you suggested, still getting the same issue. I also tried Firefox and got the same result. Any other ideas?

Hi Trung,

In order to help you pinpoint the culprit, we would require logs from FiddlerCap (enable Decrypt HTTPS Traffic option). Start it before launching Mist and save the HTTP requests session to disk. Zip and upload those to a free file server so we can review them. Additionally open Chrome's console (Ctrl + Shift + J) and check for any exceptions there and if any post them here.

Hi Steve,

These are the exceptions I receive when the dashboard loads:
GET https://app.icenium.com/api/filesystem/user-settings.xml 404 (Not Found) jquery.min.js:21
GET https://api.bitbucket.org/1.0/repositories/2gen/trung-test-app?callback=jQuery191035881152004003525_1381327116734&_=1381327116735 403 (FORBIDDEN) jquery.min.js:21

These are the exceptions I receive when I try to open a project:
'window.webkitStorageInfo' is deprecated. Please use 'navigator.webkitTemporaryStorage' or 'navigator.webkitPersistentStorage' instead. jquery.min.js:14

Here is the fiddlercap capture file:

I started the capture right after the dashboard loaded.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

I have the same problem with using chrome and Firefox.

Safari is working fine at this moment. I also tried chrome with icenium plug-in, it is working fine too.

Hi guys,

This is realy weird and we can't reproduce it in our local tests. Icenium Mist does not require the Icenium Chrome extension in order to work and this also does not explain the problem you experience under Firefox.

@Trung: thanks for the FiddlerCap log, unfortunately it does not contain anything that could explain the problem at hand. We see that the version control request have failed due to not being able to load a .js file, which is again caused by the stuck "loading". We would continue to investigate what is wrong.

Thanks for the involvement!

Hi Steve,

Some more information:

From a fresh restart of my computer I opened chrome and logged into Icenium Mist. Tried to open a project had the same issue with the infinity loading icon.

Then I lauched the Icenium App from the Chrome Web Store and opened a project and it worked fine.

Hope this helps solve the issue. if you need me to do anything else let me know.

Thanks,
Trung

Hello Trung,

Thanks for the additional information. Although we're not able to reproduce the problem locally, we have logged it in our system and would continue the investigation. Currently yourself and Franki are the only users that have reported this problem, so it must be something specific to your environments. If you have another machine available (preferably vanilla), does the problem surface there as well?

Any additional information you consider relevant would be highly appreciated.

Steve
