hello,

i downloaded rad controls for moss from here http://download.cnet.com/Telerik-RadControls-for-ASP-NET/3000-2070_4-10403562.html

i am new to telerik, ive followed this white paper to integrate telerik with moss 2007 http://www.telerik.com/documents/MOSS_whitepaper.pdf, ive followed the steps mentioned in the paper correctly the problem is im unable to see any control/menu/option for telerik controls in my moss website. If ive missed something (which i think i didnt) please guide to any source from which telerik can be deployed automatically including the WSP file needed to deploy it.

Secondly if i deploy it im not getting any activation options in my website, in CA it says the telerik controls are deployed but im unable to see anything related to it in my sites.

what could be the problem ? ive tried deploying telerik twice but still no luck.
Thanks.

Hello,

The latest WSP for MOSS integration is available from the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX downloads section on our site.
 http://www.telerik.com/account/free-trials/trial-product-versions/single-trial.aspx?pmvid=0&pid=561

You need the RadEditor for MOSS 2007   (zip, 14 MB). Inside the archive you will find the WSP and documentation. The documentation is also available online at http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/installing-radeditor-in-moss-2007-farm.html

The above information is for the RadEditor for MOSS. This is the only control we have that automatically integrates with SharePoint 2007 sites. All other controls need to be manually integrated using SharePoint Designer or Visual Studio and do not offer automatic activation.

All the best,
Lini

thanks for the reply

the link you have given me is only a text editor, what i want is the Rad Controls(specifically rad charts) for MOSS 2007, in my previous post Ive told you that Ive followed that white paper for a manual install and the problem i faced after i deployed the solution, can you please be more specific on how do i install the rad controls manually Ive made a visual studio solution by following the white paper available but no luck, it is deployed successfully but i cannot see RAD controls anywhere in my site.

Hello,

If your Visual Studio solution has a Web Part project, then what you need to do is build it and deploy it. After that you will be able to add your new custom web part on the MOSS site pages using the "Add web part" dialog.

Adding RadControls to a custom web part for MOSS is pretty much the same as using any ASP.NET controls in web parts. You can read a lot of tutorials online that explain in detail how to create a custom web part. For example - http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2006/09/02/Writing-Custom-Web-Parts-for-SharePoint-2007.aspx

Kind regards,
