Hello,

I am unable to automate login authentication to our web application in Google Chrome because of the confirmation button displayed in the logon dialog box. Test Studio has a select list of options for the HandleButton (OK, Yes, Save, etc) under the Logon dialog properties, none of which include the "Log In" button option which is what is set by Chrome.

What is the best route to solve this issue? Would we need to create a custom dialog handler and if so, where would that need to be placed? Can you tell I'm new to automated testing?

Thanks for your help. Screenshot is attached if needed.

Hi Kimberlee,

Test Studio is able to automatically record this dialog for you. What you get will look similar to the attached screen shot. For this dialog handler OK = Login. I apologize for the confusion this has caused.

Thanks for the response. Test studio does not appear to record the login in Chrome. When I attempt to execute the test or a test record in IE in Chrome, it times out because it could not handle the login. I'm on Chrome version 32. This appears to be pretty similar to this issue:

Hello Kimberlee,

The fixes for the forum post you referenced were released on September 11, 2013. There are no known dialog handling problem while using the Chrome browser today.

Hold on, where did you get Chrome version 32? The latest official release I see is Chrome version 31.0.1650.63. Are you running a Beta version of Chrome? We do not support beta versions of any browser.
