Running latest build (RadControls_for_WPF_2013_1_0401_DEV_hotfix). See attached images!

When I connect two filters where the target has more connectors than the source, the nodes are erroneously arranged (in the attached image you can see that they are effectively swapped). Why does this occur? Please help!

Edit: Also, note the exception (green node). There, the target has indeed more connectors, but the source has none from above.

Hello Kristoffer,

Could you please elaborate more on your scenario? In particular:

  • Do you use Sugiyama Layout ?
  • Do you remove the default connectors on some of the shapes? Do you use the property UseDefaultConnectors set to false?
  • Do you encounter behavior that worked correctly according to you in a previous release and that does not work correctly with the current latest official release (Q1 2013 SP)? If yes, could you please let us know the exact steps in reproducing it ?
  • How do you connect the shapes ?
In a typical scenario, the Auto Connector connected to other Auto Connector will try to find the shortest connection from Shape A to Shape B. And I think this is true in the first attached picture.
Can you help us on reproducing the issue from the second picture ?
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Hi,

The Sugiyama layout looks promising. We will look into it! Do you think this will solve the issue?

Do you use Sugiyama Layout?
No. Just normal TreeLayout.

Do you remove the default connectors on some of the shapes?
Yes. We have our custom connectors.

Do you use the property UseDefaultConnectors set to false?
No.

Do you encounter behavior that worked correctly according to you in a previous release
...
No.

How do you connect the shapes?
Both programmatically (CreateLink method) and by hand, using drag'n'drop from/to connectors.

Hi Kristoffer,

We are not sure what is the exact issue you are trying to describe. Is it possible for you to open a new support thread with a project demonstrating the exact scenario? This will be highly appreciated.

Kind regards,
