We tried to reproduce this scenario and followed your steps. When you activate your account for the first time, there is really a bug. The error message that says that you need to fill the required fields is incorrect. However, the account is activated correctly. Moreover, in order to get 1000 telerik points for completing the profile, you need to fill in all the fields on the page.
We were not able to reproduce the issue when you had to input your password multiple times. However, it could be that your browser has cached some information.
Do you still experience any issues with your account? Have you tried cleaning up your cookies and clear the browser data if you do?
