I was using Editor lite 4.5.4, it's been working fine till two days ago the toolbar stopped working, the link manager, image manger, insert table box all broken, i am still able to create/edit/delete RadEditor webpart, but I don't know what's going on with the toolbar. I've been stuck on this for two  days, please anyone have any suggestions. I have a screenshot on the site, http://share.mph.net/test/default.aspx, thanks so much!

Hi Ming,

Could you please provide us with your configuration files (ConfigFile.xml, ToolsFile.xml), which are located in the /Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/web server extensions/wpresources/RadEditorSharePoint/4.5.6.0__1f131a624888eeed/RadControls/Editor/ folder (4.5.6.0__1f131a624888eeed depends on the version of the control. This one is for the latest Lite RadEditor.)

You can also check the rights of the skin folder and files. The skin files are located in the /Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/web server extensions/wpresources/RadEditorSharePoint/4.5.6.0__1f131a624888eeed/RadControls/Editor/Skins folder. You can even use a debugging tool such as fiddler to see the requests for the skin files.

I used fiddler to capture the HTTP sessions, it seems any requests made to /wpresources/RadEditorSharePoint/4.5.6.0__1f131a624888eeed/RadControls/ failed to get response (Body field is 0 and content-type field is blank), though the results are all 200 OK. Does it seem to be a permission issue? I can't seem to change the permission on that the /RadControls/ folder anyway.

Please HELP!

Hi Ming,

What I suggest to you is to get the URL for a button image from the fiddler and execute it in a separate browser.
For Example:
http://[your host]/_wpresources/RadEditorSharePoint/4.5.6.0__1f131a624888eeed/RadControls/Editor/Skins/Default2006/buttons/Bold.gif.

Then please check if you have the mapping for _wpresources in your IIS Manager. I attached a screen shot with how your web directory is supposed to look like.

Afterwords confirm that you have the files in the \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\wpresources\RadEditorSharePoint\4.5.6.0__1f131a624888eeed\RadControls\Editor\Skins\Default2006\Buttons folder.

Also please inform us if the Default skin is working (set the following code <property name="Skin">Default</property> in the respective ConfigFile.xml).

All the best,
