Hi
Is there any feature available to spy the elements of AUT so that we get a nice idea on the properties and start our scripting without adding the elements in the element explorer.
We have something called Spy ++ in VS 2010 , Object Spy in case of QTP and Spy in the case of Ranorex automation tool.

And also regarding the maintenance of the element repository. Open the element repository in the stand alone app do some adds, edits/updates.. Currently we are finding it difficult to do updates in the elements that is already add to repository...

Thanks,
Veera

Hi Veeraraghavan,
WebUI's Dom Explorer lets you "spy" on the AUT.
From the Recorder windows just click on the DOM Explorer icon to begin exploring your application (screenshot 1). Alternatively you can highlight an element with the highlight element and then use Locate In Dom Explorer from the pop-up menu.

In the DOM Explorer you bring up additional info on an element by right-clicking on it and choosing "Properties" (screenshot 2).

On your second question - you can edit elements from the Elements Explorer in your project now. Would you please describe your use case. Let me know exactly what you want to do and what features would make your work easier!

Hope to hear from you soon!
