Yet another theming issue:

We have noticed that it is only possible to add 10 theme files to the Theme Manager - once it hits this limit, I can keep trying to add more, but they never show up in the list.

Please let us know if this is true - the documentation does not mention anything about a limit on theme resources - and we have so many because we are breaking the theme files up by control-type, and intend to merge them once the themes are set. We do this because the VSB crashes when using 'complex' theme files.

We have a deadline this week and are currently help up due to theming issues on our project, at this point we need a response as soon as possible so we can decided a course of action to move forward.

Hello Randall Kohltfarber,

There is no restriction on the number of themes that you can add to a RadThemeManager. Please, make sure that all the Theme Names differ from each other, otherwise you will not be able to see all of the added theme files as available.

If you have additional questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks for the response, we have tested this issue again and confirmed you are correct - I am able to add more than 10 items to the theme manager.

The issue appeared because sometimes when adding a new theme, the associated Form.designer.cs file does not get marked as 'modified', so if we close the form, then re-open it, it does not notify the user that a save is required. Thus, the newly added theme is lost because the designer file is not saved.

This could be an issue with Visual Studio, or possible the team foundation server source-code control plugin.

Hi Randall Kohltfarber,

I was able to locate what exactly you had experienced. There is an issue in the case where you add a theme using the RadThemeManager's Smart Tag. When you do not apply the theme to the corresponding control and save or build the project, the code for adding the theme is not serialized in the Designer.cs. This will be addressed in one of our future releases.

Your Telerik points have been updated for reporting this issue.

If you need additional assistance, do not hesitate to contact me.
