Theme Issues

Hi

I am trying out the different themes on the PageView control in "Outlook" viewmode and at design time it only allows me to select the Office 2010 theme and doesn't allow me to select any other theme (that I have tried) .

If I programatically set the theme it works but it doesn't have the nice "hover over" effects. This applies to the Office2007Black and Office2007Silver. The other themes I test work fine when I programatically set the theme name.

Am I doing something wrong or does the PageView control not support these themes ?

Hi Paul,

Thanks for writing.

RadPageView is a rather new control, so its themes are still being developed. At the moment RadPageView supports ControlDefault and Office2010 themes. We will do our best to introduce the rest of the themes in Q1 2010 SP1 due in the first half of August.

Hi everybody,

I’m evaluating your rich controls for their use in a complex Win Forms application in our Company. I like your predefined themes, most of all the Desert theme, but I find it’s not selectable in all the single controls. For example, I can’t select this theme in RadPageView (one of the controls I’m interested in for my app).

I find that other themes (like Office 2007 Black) are selectable for all the components I’ve tried.

Is there any missing feature so you have not included Desert for all the controls? Are you going to include it in future versions or service packs? I know I can create my own theme using Theme Builder, but I prefer using the ones included in your package for time reasons.

Hi Moises,

Thank you for your interest in our suite.

RadPageView is a relatively new control and this is why it does not have all the themes available for the other controls. However, I am glad to inform you that the Desert theme for RadPageView will be introduced in the upcoming Q3 2010 Service Pack 1 scheduled for this week. You can subscribe to our Release Notes RSS which will notify you once the new version becomes available.
