Hi,

When Teampulse sync with TFS, it uses TFS_SVC account, which doesn't meet the auditor compliance request.  We need it to logged the change under the current logged in user, not the service account and I found this link (below), where you can impersonate an user.  But the problem is, I can't locate this line <ConfigSetting Key=”UseTfsImpersonation” Value=”False” /> anywhere in (2) config files - synch config file and teampulse web.config file.

http://docs.telerik.com/teampulse/silverlight/user-guide/features/synchronization/configuring-sync/edit-sync-mappings.aspx

If someone could point me in the right direction, where the file located and which section to put in.

Thank you,
Khang

Hello Khang,

The setting you are trying to configure should be set on different place from the mentioned config files. For that purpose you have to open the old (Silverlight) user interface of TeamPulse as shown in the attachment. Then open your project - by double clicking on it or by selecting it first and then clicking on the Open Project button. After that, please follow the steps described in the article that you have found:

http://docs.telerik.com/teampulse/silverlight/user-guide/features/synchronization/configuring-sync/edit-sync-mappings.aspx

If you have any further issues do not hesitate to write to us again.

hi Kamen,

I found that out right after I post.  Anyway, I had it in, but it doesn't work - it still syncs as tfs_svc account, which we set to sync with.

2nd issue, we're having is that Teampulse is set to sync every 1 min, but it also doesn't seem to work also.

Is there something I missed when configuring these?

Thanks,

Hello Khang,

Could you please send us your Log files. There are usually located here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\TeamPulse\Logs".

I believe that your tfs user cannot be authorized, because TeamPulse Integration service does not have the need permission to access Tfs server. Could you check if there is some kind of firewall that prevents this. Also you problem look similar to the "double hop" problem. Could you investigate that issue?

We are waiting for your Log files so we could investigate the issue further.

Ivan
