Hello,

I had installed TFS 2010 and have been using it to enter project data under the Agile template; what I'm wondering is if its possible to modify my existing projects to use this new template in TFS and migrate TFS data to TeamPulse, instead of having to recreate the projects and lose all my existing data.

Thanks.

Hello Brian Mains,

Unfortunately if you would like to switch templates on existing projects, it is simply not possible in TFS without starting from scratch.

Another option however is to change the parts of your existing TFS projects. For example, changing the definitions of work items from CMMI, for example, to Agile, import the Agile reports, etc. Here's an MSDN article that explains what that will entail.

Hopefully that helps you out and please, feel free to leave some feedback on TeamPulse after you have tried it out, we are happy to hear it!

Kind regards,
